South Morecambe Field covers an area of 32 square miles of Morecambe Bay with a total of 35 wells and an accommodation platform for this field. The Gas was transferred by undersea pipeline to the South Morecambe Terminal. The Process has now ceased, and the Client are in the process of fully isolating and decommissioning the South Morecambe Site.
Thompsons of Prudhoe Ltd are contracted as the Principal Contractor by Spirit Energy to undertake the following scope of works;
- Asbestos Decontamination / Removal
- Demolition services
- Removal of Plant Structures
- Removal of Pipework
- Removal of (above ground) Cables
- Removal of Pipebridges
- Controlled Lifting of Large Items
- Crushing and Placing of Demolition Arisings
- Removal of Surplus Concrete
- Removal of all Demolition Waste
- Site clearance services
