PROJECT: AROMATICS PLANT 1 & 2
The site is located within the North Tees site, which occupies a large plot on the north bank of the River Tees. The works comprise of the hazardous insulating material removal, dismantling, demolition and site clearance of Aromatics Plants 1 and 2 comprising of various petrochemical process plant structures, associated utilities, switch rooms, pipework/cables/pipebridges, plant and equipment. The facilities comprise a variety of design standards dating back to the 1960’s with a combination of traditional concrete, brick, steel and timber constructions.
Thompsons of Prudhoe Ltd are contracted as the Principal Contractor by the Client to undertake the following scope of works;
- Asbestos & Hazardous Materials Decontamination / Removal
- Pre & Post Demolition CCTV Surveys
- Recovery & Disposal of Residual Products in process plant & equipment
- Demolition and Dismantling of Process Plant Structures
- Dismantling & Removal of Associated Utilities
- Dismantling & Removal of Switch Rooms
- Protection of Existing Services, Drains, Roads,Footpaths & Ground Water Sampling Points
- Processing of Demolition Arisings
- Removal of Plant Structures
- Removal of Pipework / Pipebridges
- Removal of (above ground) Cables
- Site clearance services
