We’re looking for a plant operative, experienced with 360 Excavator, Loading Shovel, ADT and Tracked Dozer operations. This role will be based at our Silvertop Quarry in Hallbankgate, Cumbria.
The Role
- Carry out daily machine and attachment checks on fuel, oil, water, grease and general condition etc. & replenish where necessary prior to commencing operating & complete weekly checklist sheet
- Carry out routine maintenance as per manufacturers and plant managers recommendation
- Report all machine and attachment faults to the Site Manager/Plant Manager/Supervisor on the weekly checklist
- Follow work schedule issued by management to ensure contract obligations are met
- Operate safely the plant and equipment as instructed
- Assist fitters where necessary with any maintenance, service, repairs or improvements
- Repair all minor faults within your own capabilities
- Check that reported faults have been remedied
- Carry out duties in a safe and efficient manner observing health and safety policies at all times
- Ensure the correct PPE is used at all times
ESSENTIAL Qualifications
- MPQC Card or CPCS Card preferably BLUE – competent operator
