Project Manager – Decommissioning Works

Based at Thompsons Decommissioning Facility, Battleship Wharf, Port of Blyth

The Role

  • Be the site-based project lead representing Thompsons.
  • Be the facilitator to ensure that information flows and actions are completed appropriately between the client, subcontractors, site teams, senior management and all other stakeholders.
  • Provide support / updates to the commercial department to permit valuations to be completed monthly and identify any potential variations at an early stage.
  • Be the ‘face’ of Thompsons at site level to the client team, allowing the Site Managers to control the works whilst you engage with the client.
  • Ensure timesheets are submitted to payroll on a weekly basis.
  • Update the project programme (with external planner where necessary).
  • Produce Project Reports in line with Contract Requirements.
  • Attend the Project Meetings as Required.
  • Chair regular meetings with Site Management/Client.
  • Provide management and controls for the administration of both contractual and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure that the safe system of work documentation including RAMS, Perimetry, POWRA’s and Daily Briefings are being adhered to.
  • Work in close liaison with the Senior Management Team.
  • Carry out duties compliant to Thompsons company policies, operating procedures and working practices.

Qualifications

  • A Degree in Scientific or Engineering Degree
  • Prince II Certificate or Equivalent (e.g. APM)
