BID & Business Development Manager

The Role

  • Dual-role comprising Bid and Business Development Management function within the business
  • Receive tenders / enquiries and maximise the chance of winning works via a compliant tender return, seeking to maximise scores achievable when the result is based on more than price alone
  • Promote the business and maximise opportunities for securing future works and brand awareness
  • Review specifications, identify requirements and relevant information contained within tender pack to present to Senior Management Team
  • Collate unified and professionally presented tender submissions, sometimes working to tight deadlines
  • Prepare and lead with tender presentations with support from the wider team
  • Manage and oversee all tender portals
  • Source new business opportunities for all aspects of the business including demolition, earthworks, asbestos removal and onshore decommissioning
  • Manage and oversee company website & social media platforms, working with external partners where necessary
  • Complete approved supplier documentation / PQQ’s
  • Dependent upon experience, pricing some work may become part of the role

 

Skills and relevant experience

Essential:

  • Demonstrable Estimating or Bid Management experience in earthworks, asbestos removal or the wider construction sector
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines in a busy office environment
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
  • Capable of consistently producing high-quality and well-presented documents

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a Business Development or Marketing role
