INDUSTRIAL DISMANTLING & DECOMMISSIONING
Thompsons of Prudhoe offer a fully comprehensive industrial dismantling and decommissioning service and have been a part of a variety of industrial projects.
Whether the contract requires the total dismantling of a high-hazard upper tier COMAH site or the safe decommissioning and dismantling of a Gas Holder, our experienced and highly skilled team are capable of tackling any project and ensuring it is completed safely.
Asbestos Removal
As long-standing members of ARCA (Asbestos Removal Contractors’ Association), Thompsons are trained and licensed contractors who are experienced in the management of asbestos.
We ensure all types of asbestos we encounter are removed safely and effectively from our customers’ projects. We hold a full asbestos removal license issued by the Health & Safety Executive, demonstrating that our asbestos removal teams work to the highest possible standard within this highly regulated area of industry.
Site Clearance & Reclamation
Thompsons of Prudhoe are able to offer a fully comprehensive Site Clearance and Reclamation service, allowing our customers to deal with one company throughout their entire project.
Our extensive knowledge and practical experience of waste management has been developed over 75 years, including obtaining Environment Agency Site Permits and utilising industry approved
end-of-waste protocols.
Using experience and knowledge of waste legislation Thompsons can help our customers clear, reclaim and remediate any site in readiness for its desired use.
Earthworks
Thompsons of Prudhoe undertake every aspect of earthworks, from initial site surveys, compliance with environmental legislation, right through to developing engineered building platforms and discharging required planning conditions. The company’s wealth of experience in major earthworks contracts enables us to offer alternative low-cost solutions at tender and design stages.
We cover the whole spectrum of earthworks packages, including bulk excavation, cut and fill, aggregate supply, muckaway and site preparation.
Onshore Decommissioning
Thompsons of Prudhoe have an incredible and rich history dating back to 1948 and have a wealth of experience when it comes to providing decommissioning solutions. Oil & Gas structures that have reached the end of their operational life must be safely decommissioned, dismantled and recycled in the most environmentally friendly manner.
In order to meet this incredibly challenging task, Thompsons of Prudhoe have established a partnership with the Port of Blyth to create a safe and effective onshore dismantling and waste disposal decommissioning service.
Quarries, Aggregates
& Agricultural Lime
Thompsons of Prudhoe have been supplying aggregates, agricultural lime and slag for over 75 years. Thompsons operate six quarries throughout the North of England supplying crushed rock, sand and gravel, rock armour, agricultural lime and recycled aggregates to the construction and agriculture industries.
Coupled with one of the largest haulage fleets in the North of England and West Yorkshire, Thompsons have the capability to deliver all types of aggregate for construction and redevelopment projects and offer the added value service of removing materials from sites for disposal and recycling as a back load.
